Why I built it
Writing down and organizing new words from a textbook or workbook is a chore for a kid. I wanted to gather words from a single photo and start memorizing right away.
What it does
- Scan a textbook or workbook with the camera and it reads the text (OCR).
- Pulls out the words to learn and saves them into a word bank, by date and set.
- Generates an example sentence for each word to aid understanding.
- Reads words aloud with a choice of US, UK, or AU accent.
- Review with random tests, recording right and wrong answers to revisit.

Kids and students who want to gather words from photos and memorize them
Where it is now
Built as an iOS app I use on my own device. A proper release is still something I'm thinking through.
